Dr. Ravichander is a renowned surgical oncologist in south India with an experience of over 2 decades. He has acquired a huge amount of experience in traditional and laparoscopic cancer surgeries, having successfully conducted more than 15,000 cancer surgeries of various complexities.
With an experience of nearly 20 years, Dr. Ravi chander has handled multiple surgeries with varying severities like laparoscopic GI & gynaec-onco surgeries, head & neck cancer surgeries with micro vascular reconstruction and breast cancer surgeries which include sentinel lymph node biopsy, onco-plastic reconstruction. He is also well known for performing complex surgeries for soft tissue & bone tumors including Limb saving surgeries & reconstruction with Megaprosthesis.
He is one of the few well trained once surgeons in India who can perform laparoscopic GI onco surgeries, and thoracoscopic surgeries for cancers of esophagus & lung. He is trained in oncoplastic surgery for breast cancer, having done more than 5,000 breast cancer surgeries. He was the first person to start complete cyto-reductive surgery and hyperthermic-intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for advanced peritoneal malignancies in the twin states of AP & Telangana.
