Domestic violence is a form of abuse in any relationship initiated by a partner to the other partner within a domestic environment. Domestic violence can be acted in many ways such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse or threats. The victims of domestic violence could be anyone regardless of socioeconomic status, level of education, race, age, religion, sexual orientation or gender. Dealing with domestic violence or any other gender-based violence can be extremely difficult.
