The Apprentices Act, 1961 was enacted to regulate training of apprentices, utilizing limited facilities available for training. As the 1961 law got disparate and redundant, it was essential to introduce comprehensive reforms in the Apprenticeship Act in 2014 and the Apprenticeship Rules in 2015 making apprenticeship a better approach to seep into every sphere.
